We upgraded our living room in stages over a one year time frame. It was a slow transformation so for our family it didn’t have the ‘Wow’ factor that some of our other rooms did. But looking at the before and after pictures really showed us how far it came.
When we first moved in we painted our entire house. This gave the living room space an instant upgrade.
Next we replaced the sliding door with one we found on Craigslist in great shape.
A few month later we found rock at our local materials recycling center and used it to upgrade out fireplace surround. And finally we upgraded the flooring in the entire house.
The final result was beautiful!
