Spring ’22 One Room Challenge – Week 2

All we accomplished in Week 1 was putting together a mood board. Week 2 consisted of sourcing materials and gutting the room in preparation for the new wall treatment.

Go check out the One Room Challenge Blog here. There are so many talented designers participating this fall.

I am still determined to stay within our $300 budget. That means I have to reuse our faucet, TP holder and towel ring. They are chrome, which wouldn’t be my first choice, but it is what we have.

This week we spent $125 on lumber and beadboard (and brad nails) from our local bigbox store. I then found a mirror second hand for $40 and a vanity secondhand for FREE! The vanity is also not my favorite but we are going to make it work because, well, it was free.

The wallpaper and new utility knife blade were $80 from Nuwallpaper. We decided to paint the beadboard the color that we used for the walls in the Fall ORC because we still have some leftover and it will make the rooms cohesive.

That leaves me with $55 for a new light and paint for the vanity. Can we do it?
